As the school year comes to a close, we take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible educators, staff members, and administrators who are retiring from Moon Area School District this year. These individuals have dedicated their careers to serving our students, families, and community — and their impact is immeasurable.
Moon Area School District has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMN Foundation for their outstanding support and commitment to music education. Now in its 26th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.
Moon Area School District is proud of the impact and positive influence our graduates have on people around the world. In addition, the district is fortunate to have had many dedicated faculty, staff and volunteers who have made a positive impact on students and our schools.
Bon Meade Elementary has been selected as a winner of the March 2025 Firefly incentive! To celebrate, each third and fourth grade student enjoyed a special treat from Kona Ice. Congratulations to our Bon Meade students!
Moon Area High School seniors participated in the annual Parade of the Past in May.
Students returned to their own elementary school to parade through the halls. It's a great opportunity for graduating seniors to catch up with their old elementary school teachers. The graduating seniors also inspired our younger students as they paraded through the halls.
Ms. Misenko’s third-grade class at Bon Meade Elementary brought their Walt Disney book study to life with a magical virtual field trip to the Magic Kingdom, complete with themed attire, virtual rides, drawing lessons, Disney math, and itinerary journaling.
